About

Hi, I’m Tara McCaffery (MA, RCC, CCC).

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step—especially if you’ve been holding it together for a long time. My role is to offer a calm, steady space where you can slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and start moving toward real change at a pace that feels manageable.

With over a decade of experience, I support individuals, couples, families, children, and youth with concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, relationship stress, life transitions, and burnout. My approach is trauma-informed and holistic, which means we look at the full picture—your thoughts, emotions, patterns, relationships, and nervous system—not just the symptoms.

Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. Depending on your needs, we may use tools from CBT, DBT-informed strategies, mindfulness, somatic techniques, and EMDR for trauma processing. The goal is always the same: to help you feel more grounded, more clear, and more supported in your day-to-day life.

I offer sessions virtually and in-person at my Uptown Victoria office, and I’m happy to start with a free 15-minute consultation to ensure it feels like the right fit.
